Update to your ADHD care at Winston Center (effective April 30, 2026)

Dear Winston Center Patient,

We’re writing to share an important update about your ADHD care and, more importantly, how we are evolving our approach to better serve you.

From the start, Winston Center’s goal was to provide focused, whole-person ADHD care that helps patients function better in daily life. Over time, we’ve observed that ADHD care is most effective when it includes continuity, responsiveness, and support beyond short, episodic visits—conditions that are difficult to achieve in a traditional insurance-based model.

To deliver this level of care consistently and responsibly, we are transitioning how ADHD services are provided.

What’s changing (and when)
Effective April 30th, 2026, Winston Center will conclude its psychiatric ADHD services. This means we will no longer provide ADHD care. In its place, we are opening a new practice, Winston Integrative ADHD, on May 1, 2026, designed intentionally around a comprehensive, whole-person ADHD treatment model.

This transition reflects a change in how care is delivered, not a departure from our commitment to patients. We will continue to support active patients clinically during the transition period and will assist with refills and care planning, as appropriate, prior to May 1, 2026.

Please note that language and dyslexia services at Winston Center will NOT change. Our speech-language pathology team will continue to provide care through an insurance-based model at Winston Center.

Important Deadlines

  • For clients who have not enrolled in the new Winston Integrative ADHD services, psychiatric care through Winston Center will end on this date, and we will no longer be your treating provider.
  • We will continue to provide emergent care for clients for up to 30 days from 4/30/26 while you establish care with another provider. Life-threatening emergencies and concerns for risk of harm to yourself or others should continue to be directed to your nearest Emergency Department or emergency/crisis hotlines (911/988).

We recognize that transitions in care can feel uncertain. This change reflects our commitment to offering ADHD care that is thoughtful, effective, and aligned with what truly helps patients thrive. We look forward to supporting you through this next chapter, whatever path you choose.

Warmly,
Thomas Beck, M.D.

Frequently asked questions:
What is changing?
Beginning May 1, 2026, ADHD psychiatric services will transition to Winston Integrative ADHD, a concierge, self-pay practice. We will no longer bill insurance directly. Care will operate under a membership model designed to provide greater access, continuity, and coordination. Medication management will continue within this structure. Language and dyslexia services are not changing.

What does concierge care mean?
Concierge care allows for smaller patient panels, more responsive communication, structured between-visit support, and greater continuity with your clinician. The model supports proactive, relationship-based care rather than brief, reactive appointments.

What does the membership include?
The monthly membership covers care coordination, administrative support, secure messaging, structured check-ins, scheduling flexibility (including some asynchronous adjustments when appropriate), and enhanced monitoring of treatment effectiveness and side effects. Psychiatric provider visits are billed separately.

What are the costs and frequency of the medication management visits?
Visits are $300 each or $250 per visit when pre-purchased in bundles. Frequency depends on clinical stability, medication type, regulatory requirements, and individual needs. We will review expected frequency and estimated annual costs with you in advance.

What if we are already self-pay?
Visit fees may remain similar. The primary change is the addition of the monthly membership for enhanced access and between-visit care. If you don’t plan to submit superbills to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement, we can offer a more simplified option of $189/ month for adults and $219/ month for pediatrics, which will include up to 4 visits a year (you will only be charged a visit fee if you exceed 4 visits).

Can we continue to pay-per-visit only?
No. Ongoing ADHD medication management requires enrollment in a membership.

Will you bill my insurance for me?
No, we will not be billing insurance for any patients and will not be contracted with any insurance plans.

Will you provide superbills?
Yes. Superbills are available for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance for provider visits. FSA/HSA may be used if eligible.

What is the commitment length required for Winston Integrative ADHD membership?
We are asking for a minimum membership of 6 months.

Can I continue to see my provider?
Our goal is continuity of care with your provider. Any changes will be communicated. If your provider is not continuing with us in the new business, you may select from one of our other providers.

What if we cannot afford this model?
We will assist with transition planning and records coordination to ensure continuity of care.

What should we do next?
Schedule a brief transition consultation through the link above to review your situation, expected costs, and determine whether this model is the right fit. Do not schedule an appointment with your provider to ask questions about the program, as their time is focused on providing care. Our transition coordinator will assist with all questions regarding these changes.

Will you offer therapy?
No, we do not have any mental health counselors on our team and do not plan to offer mental health therapy.

What will happen to my records?
We will transfer your records to the provider of your choice if you choose to seek care elsewhere, to Winston Integrative ADHD if you choose to join care there, or to hold them securely for future retrieval at Winston Center. You may request your records at any time, and all records will be stored in accordance with Washington State and Federal laws.

What if I don’t opt in now, and want to join Winston Integrative later?
You may join Winston Integrative ADHD at a later date if you are an adult. We will not guarantee the current pricing offer, as it is a limited-time offer that will expire on April 30, 2026; there may be an additional administrative fee to rejoin, and we will not enroll pediatric patients from Winston Center after April 30, 2026. Pricing for new patients at Winston Integrative will be higher than the limited-time offer presented to current Winston Center patients.
