When Dyslexic Advantage announced the 2021 winners of the Karina Eide Young Writers Awards, the nonprofit organization supporting individuals with dyslexia recognized two Winston Center clients.  In addition to receiving a cash prize, Landon Giolitti and Max Kosinski will have their winning work published in the Dyslexic Advantage Newsletter.

Open exclusively to students with dyslexia, submissions for the Karina Eide Young Writers Awards are evaluated according to creativity, humor, storytelling ability and other aspects instead of spelling or grammar. The competition celebrates a variety of writers’ talents, going beyond the constraints of a conventional award.

The awards honor the life of Karina Eide, a young writer who had dyslexia. Her parents, Brock and Fernette Eide, are well-known learning specialists and authors of the best-selling books The Dyslexic Advantage and The Mislabeled Child. They’re also co-founders of Dyslexic Advantage.

Winston Center’s highly trained speech language pathologists guide precise and customized care based on the complex nature of dyslexia. Our clinic takes a strengths-based approach, amplifying talents and building confidence to help patients with dyslexia or other learning conditions thrive in academia and life. Our team is honored to help them achieve their goals.
