Co-CEO & Co-Founder

Winston Center Co-Founder and Co-CEO Thomas Beck, MD, brings a sought-after combination of expertise and empathy to a practice that’s instilling hope among people with ADHD, dyslexia and related conditions. Diagnosed with ADHD himself, Dr. Beck is deeply passionate about helping both children and adults overcome attention challenges while maximizing their strengths and often hidden talents.

A child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, Dr. Beck guides the Winston Center’s innovative approach to treatment, empowering patients to play a larger role in health and wellness decisions. His treatment approach emphasizes the biological aspects of ADHD, combining medication and lifestyle changes customized to individual needs and goals. Moreover, Dr. Beck is a dedicated leader, ensuring all patients receive the best possible support and offering a clear vision for the Winston Center’s future as the country’s preeminent, tech-forward clinic for treating attention disorders.

Growing up in the Northwest, Dr. Beck was a high school dropout. He had given up on his dream to attend medical school because of feelings of inadequacy as an ADHD teen. However, the direction of his life changed upon meeting someone who believed in him and the self-realization that he was selling himself short. Through the power of self-visualization, self-belief and a lot of hard work, he went on to become a stand-out medical student at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California. There, he was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Beck then completed training in both general adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at University of California, Los Angeles’ Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital (formerly Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital) — one of the premier psychiatry training programs in the country and ranked among the top five facilities in the nation. He partially credits his academic and professional successes to discovering strategies for managing ADHD traits.

Dr. Beck is board certified in psychiatry as a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Additionally, he serves as a clinical instructor for the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry.
