The Winston Center is an invaluable resource for both children and adults who experience learning or attention challenges, such as ADHD or dyslexia. Not only do we help our clients manage their symptoms, we also help them discover their own untapped potential and build confidence.
What we do at the Winston Center works – and the feedback we get from our clients every day reinforces our original purpose to deliver the best possible care to anyone who walks through our doors.
A few inspiring client experiences:
Hopeful Parent on Mission to Discover What Works
“We have been coming to the Winston Center since May and are very happy. Dr. Beck is helpful and thorough, makes sure you understand, willing to work with your desires with regard to treatment. We also worked with Marvin, who was great. Everyone is good with my daughter. We are going through what seems to be a process of discovery (and stress!) but I feel very good about working with Winston Center.”
Mom and Daughter Duo Seek Effective Care for ADD and Dyslexia
“My school-age daughter and I both have ADD. We had each been to many different providers in both Seattle and Spokane, but none of them seemed to understand the nuances of female ADD…and none of them helped. When we finally found Dr. Beck, it was such a relief. After years of searching, he has been by far the most effective provider I have met. And, on top of the great ADD care, the Winston Center also addresses learning disabilities. My daughter, who struggles with dyslexia, is making fantastic progress with the help of a learning specialist at the center. She also sees an in-house psychologist, who is helping her manage all the frustrations that come with being a kid with ADD and dyslexia. All in all, we couldn’t be happier with the Winston Center and recommend it highly.”
Adult with ADHD Appreciates Options and Recommendations
“I highly recommend this group of professionals. As an adult with ADHD, I thoroughly appreciated integrated care options, well informed and evidence-based treatment recommendations, and the kind, compassionate care. A great option for children or adult needs. What a great resource for our community!”
Exceptional Support, Even From Afar: A Lifeline for Families Facing ADHD and Dyslexia
Our family has been so impressed with our experience at the Winston Center. They have been thorough, kind, communicative, and given us some excellent tools. Specifically, we were very grateful for our evaluation, follow-up, and support from Mary Kelleher, SLP. She has been a wealth of knowledge and hope for our child! I was initially concerned that living in a different town would be too hard but Winston center has been more than accommodating. Even for those who live outside of Spokane, Winston Center can be an incredibly valuable resource to families with kids who have ADHD and or Dyslexia/Dysgraphia.
Empathetic, Expert Support for Adults with ADHD
As a late-diagnosed ADHDer, finding care as an adult hasn’t been easy. But I’ve found Winston Center to be the best care I’ve experienced yet. Every doctor has been knowledgable, understanding and empathetic. I haven’t felt judged or made to feel like a drug seeking criminal when asking for meds, but rather treated with dignity and respect and validated. Can’t recommend them enough! I will say some of the admin staff is sometimes a little slow to understand what you’re asking for but they always figure it out and deliver whats needed

A Positive, Supportive Experience for Our Family
My wife and I took our son here to be evaluated for ADHD by Dr. Brian Pham. We were very pleased with Dr. Pham and his team. He was very kind and was great interacting with our son. He took the time to do a thorough evaluation and explained everything to us and our son. The admin gals were great to deal with as well. Overall a really positive experience.

Outstanding Care That Went Above and Beyond
I want to thank the Winston Center and Dr. Beck for being so amazing and helping our youngest with the issues we have been struggling with. My son connected with Dr. Beck and now cannot wait to go visit him again. The medical assistants were also great and helped get the medication Prior auth submitted and approved within 24 hours. I have worked in the medical field for a very long time and I know playing the middle man between the pharmacy and Insurance companies is never easy. Thank you so much for the care you provided to us. We are forever grateful!
A Life-Changing Resource for Families and Educators Alike
The Winston Center has been one of the most significant contributions to my life and that of my children, grandchildren, and students. I have full faith in their expertise and am waiting for the day that this opportunity and the results of having this knowledge is available for any student regardless of age or access to financial resources.
Should you decide to work with the Winston Center you will be in excellent hands, and your life will be forever changed.
Years of Exceptional Care — and Unwavering Advocacy When We Needed It Most
Our son has been seen by Dr Beck for several years. He’s the absolute best. Always brain storming the best plan of care for him. Not to mention our son feels so comfortable with him, which is so important. Most recently we needed assistance setting up his 504 plan. Wendy helped us setup and iron out the details of our 504 plan for our son. She went above and beyond in this process. She helped explain his diagnosis in ways I never thought of. Their level of experience and knowledge is unmet. She really guided us the entire way of what was best for our son in an area I had no knowledge. Rest assured if you are at the Winston Center you are receiving nothing but the absolute best!!!

Hope, Help, and Healing for Families Outside the Box
Hope in a city lacking resources. As a previous school teacher I’m am keenly aware that there is a big void in the school system for students not fitting in “the box.” We knew early on that homeschooling was the only way to give our children the one on one learning attention for success, but when we found ourselves face to face with two diagnoses of dyslexia we felt scared and at a loss with available resources to turn to in Spokane. We were already using every curriculum recommended, but we needed some more help. Through a recommendation from another SLP we looked into Winston Center. It is truly a valuable resource in our city for the dyslexic and learning disability community. They have a wrap around group of professionals that work with not just the learning side through tutoring, but also the mental health management side of ADHD, OCD, etc. They are professional, caring and supportive of each patient and their families. The diagnosis of dyslexia for two children was scary for us because it requires more attention when teaching. We knew the public schools and private schools had very little to nothing to offer in the way of help; but we also knew neither me or my husband had been trained to help work through this diagnosis in the most crucial years of learning as we tackled reading. Winston Center has been an answer to our prayers! We feel confident our children are getting the one on one help they need twice a week to not only learn strategies to assist with their learning disabilities, but they are feeling weekly successes that correlate into their overall ability to thrive as learners!

Winston Gave Our Children What the Schools Couldn’t
We are over a year now into utilizing Winston services. If a photo could tell a story I would post one here of our dyslexic daughter reading a novel on her own in our living room. This is a little girl that took years to learn her alphabet. Our expectations for her progress at Winston were not something we had really defined for ourselves. All we knew was that we needed help and our resources in Spokane were limited. However, to see our daughter today as an avid reader, whom even volunteers in public settings to read aloud, is beyond anything we had anticipated. In fact, last week, we were told by a group leader in a program she is involved with that she is the strongest reader in the group of children they have in class. Truly we would have never expected to hear that about our daughter a year ago. As for our other child (also dyslexic and diagnosed with ADHD and dysgraphia) we are seeing steady but sure results. While his uphill journey might be longer, his work with Winston began sooner so we feel confident he will progress at a good pace. When I speak with other friends that live in Seattle or around the country I am amazed that we have this valuable service here in small Spokane. We are blessed beyond measure that Winston is meeting the needs in our community where the public schools aren’t addressing the issue of Dyslexia. As a family we cannot recommend them enough!
