Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Janelle’s commitment to helping others overcome speech and language challenges brought her to the Winston Center as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

Specializing in reading and language intervention and following the guidance of our clinically certified speech-language pathologists, Janelle provides critical support to our clients. She focuses on building her clients’ confidence, talents and strengths, and is a steadfast resource along their personal journeys to overcome various communication difficulties.

Janelle previously served as a Winston Center Medical Assistant, helping our team deliver compassionate and customized care. She also has experience working with autistic children, having spent time in autism classrooms in the Spokane and Lake Stevens School Districts. Janelle earned a bachelor’s degree in speech and language pathology and audiology from Washington State University.

Passionate about working with underserved communities, Janelle volunteers at group homes for kids and young adults, as well as with Liberty Mutual’s “Teen Feed,” which delivers meals to homeless teens. She also enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and spending time with her husband, young daughter and dog.
