Aubrey Powell

Clinical Fellow, Speech-Language Pathologist

Expanding Winston Center’s ability to provide exceptional speech therapy services, Aubrey Powell serves as a clinical fellow and Speech-Language Pathologist. She specializes in providing assessment and treatment for a variety of communication difficulties, highlighting strengths and building client confidence.

Drawn to helping clients achieve their full potential, Aubrey brings a personal interest in literacy and reading skills. As a late reader herself, Aubrey knows first-hand how disheartening reading challenges can be, taking an empathetic and welcoming approach to care. As a clinical fellow, Aubrey receives mentored professional experience to support her in becoming an independent provider of speech-language pathology services. She applies what she learned in an academic setting to real-life scenarios, expanding and refining her skills as a practitioner.

Prior to joining Winston Center, Aubrey spent time at Bozeman Public Schools and Gro Speech Language Learning, a Bozeman clinic providing comprehensive treatment for speech and language conditions among children. In these environments, she gained valuable hands-on experience, including providing one-on-one interventions for a variety of speech and language conditions, administering assessments and interpreting results, developing treatment plans according to unique client goals and leading IEP meetings.

Aubrey earned both her bachelor’s degree in communicative sciences and disorders and master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Montana. During her studies, she served as an officer for the National Student Speech Hearing Association’s University of Montana chapter.

When she’s not at Winston Center, Aubrey enjoys reading, solving jigsaw puzzles, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
